Admission Details: Your Path to Manufacturing Engineering
The Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Manufacturing Engineering is a second-year entry program. Admission requires the completion of a general first-year engineering program at UBC or another post-secondary institution. Entry into the Manufacturing Engineering program at UBC is highly competitive and is based on a broad-based admissions procedure.
In addition to strong academic performance, prospective students are encouraged to demonstrate involvement in UBC’s Engineering community during their first year by actively participating in a student club or team. As with all other engineering undergraduate programs at UBC, students will apply to the common undergraduate engineering first year and then specialize in Manufacturing Engineering starting in their second year.
Note: The GPA cut-off for admission into the program varies each year based on the applicant pool, and the Department does not have a set minimum.
