Our curriculum at UBC Manufacturing Engineering focuses on hands-on, project-based learning.
Starting in their 2nd year, students engage in year-long projects that bridge theory and practice. These courses provide hands-on training with various design platforms, tools, machinery, and manufacturing processes like machining, injection molding, and thermoforming.
Beyond technical skills, students also develop essential soft skills such as communication, teamwork, project management, and manufacturing process scaling. These experiences are integral to our program, equipping students with the practical knowledge and skills needed for successful careers in manufacturing engineering.
